Participants praise largest Automechanika Shanghai yet as ‘the place to be’ for automotive innovation and global collaboration
Automechanika Shanghai 2025 concludes successfully on 29 November, leaving a lasting impression marked by record-breaking participation from visitors and exhibitors. Across four days, the fair celebrated the innovative advancement of the automotive supply chain, offering a sustainable outlook of how the industry is coming together for the development and upgrade of various vehicle types; a particularly important standpoint given these markets represented at the show have different needs. Participants praised the wide array of product showcases, opportunities presented for networking at fringe programme events, and high level of training at the specialised areas.

- Onsite visitors: 253,691 from 190 countries and regions – a 14% increase (28% from overseas)
- Exhibitors: 7,465 from 44 countries and regions – a 10% increase
- Scale: 383,000 sqm of exhibition space – a 9% increase

Participation in the fair came from across the globe, contributing to a record number of exhibitors and visitors over a groundbreaking scale. Among the 7,465 exhibitors, global representation came from 44 countries and regions.
Participants appreciated the opportunities to showcase innovations, access new markets, and collaborate across the entire automotive supply chain—from R&D and manufacturing to distribution and after-sales services.
The New Energy & Connectivity sector highlighted innovations in digital technologies, AI, and intelligent applications, including semiconductor chips and powertrain controllers.

- Parts & Components: Growth in chassis technologies and commercial vehicle products.
- Electrics & Electronics: Increased participation from companies specialising in sensors and electronic systems driven by demand for advanced driver-assistance systems.
- Diagnostics & Repair / Body & Paint: Professional maintenance tools, eco-friendly equipment, and intelligent diagnostic solutions for new energy vehicles.
- Accessories & Customising: Focus on automotive lifestyle trends and personalised car customisation.
- Tyres & Wheels: Emphasis on high-strength, lightweight materials and specialised tyres for new energy vehicles.

The show featured 94 fringe programme events with more than 450 distinguished speakers, bringing together government bodies, associations, industry leaders, research institutes and experts.

The Supply-Demand Matching Series also connected carmakers with component suppliers, strengthening technological collaboration throughout the value chain.
Global Visitor Participation
The exhibition welcomed a record-breaking 253,691 visitors from 190 countries and regions, along with 261 buyer groups representing more than 50 countries and regions.
Top overseas visitor sources: India, Malaysia, Türkiye, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, UAE, Kazakhstan and Germany.
The show attracted buyers across the entire supply chain, including leading carmakers such as BYD, Ford, Geely, General Motors, Hyundai, Superpanther and XCMG.
Global Media Attention
The 2025 edition received extensive coverage from international trade and mass media across Argentina, Australia, Austria, China, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, the UAE, the UK and the US.
Major Chinese media outlets including Xinhua News Agency, Beijing Radio and Television Station, Shanghai Traffic Radio, Zhejiang Media Group and Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation also highlighted the exhibition.

The next edition of Automechanika Shanghai will take place from 2–5 December 2026.
